Josh came up with the idea of presenting a “Best Costume” gift to give to a few kids for Halloween, so we came up with this quick and easy gift. I, of course, went to Target and went all out… at the Dollar Spot! I freaking love Target (understatement). Every item for the gift was found in the Dollar Spot bins.
What you’ll need:
- Gift bag (there are several types there, like plastic, burlap and paper gift bags)
- a writing utensil (metallic marker from Dollar Bin)
- Gift tags
- Small Toys (we got stuffed animals, monster cars and dinosaurs)
- regular size candy bars (from the checkout aisle)
What to do:
For each bag, fill it with 2 candy bars (1 sugar, 1 chocolate) plus one toy. Tie the gift bag up tight, or secure it however you can if you don’t have a drawstring bag. Add a cute note to the gift tag and attach it to the gift bag. We haven’t quite decided what we’ll be for Halloween, so the “From” portion will have to wait.
There you have it! Easy, and painless. This is such a cute idea. I can’t wait to see how creative the neighborhood kids get with their costumes and pass out these “Best Costume” gifts to them! I’m glad Josh came up with this idea! These would also be great gift bags if you are hosting a Halloween party for kids.
What are your Halloween plans?
