Vintage Thrifted Mustard Midi Skirt Styles

My fellow blogging babe, Valery of Valery Brennan  has started up something marvelous, y’all… Drumroll please… #TwoWayTuesday link up! I like to keep my clothes as long as possible and create as many outfits with them as possible, so I feel like this is a linky knows my life. This link-up allows me to share my love for the high fashion faux-pas of wearing my stuff more than once. In a fast-paced world full of throw-away clothes, this will be a place to see how to wear some of your favorite pieces more than once. Be kind to the earth, I say. Make that ‘fit last!

My first Two Way Tuesday entry is nothing other than a thrifted midi skirt in a color that I can’t get enough of…. Mustard yella’. I’ve blogged about it twice already *thumbs up.*

First up, as part of my Easter ensemble, I jazzed this skirt up with the S/S 14 ever so popular kimono top. I paired it with a plain white tee and a hand made rope necklace.

Shirt: old // kimono: Marshall’s > $20 // skirt: thrifted > $10 // shoes: payless $20ish

Next, I wore the skirt on a ladies’ day out with some fellow bloggers. I paired it with the same shoes, but with a thrifted crop top with a large floral pattern. See more here.

There you have it! One piece, two ways.

Psssst.. Down here. Third time’s a charm, right? Check out how I styled this skirt while viewing art.

I cannot believe this skirt is thrifted! You must have such a great eye… I never find pieces that I want to take home. If you had one word of advice for picking a piece out of the thrift store what would it be? I love your art viewing look.

[…] This outfit took time to curate – I didn’t get everything at once.  It was worth it, though, especially since I only spent $30 over the years to create it.  I could go on for days talking about how I style my thrifted skirts… (like this unique top and mustard midi). […]
