Sequined pieces are a vintage thrift find treasure and are loved by many. This vibrant sequined dress was in my Aunt’s front closet. Every time we visit each other, I somehow leave with a little bit of her closet’s contents making its way to mine. This past Christmas, she told me to check out the front closet instead of her walk-in closet, as I usually do. I fell in love the minute I saw this, and I could just see my husband thinking “where are we going to put THIS,” as I asked him to zip it up. I had to try it on immediately, of course!
I wore this for our 2017 New Year family photos. We’ve made a tradition of taking our own simple photos to commemorate special moments and holidays. I hope Greyson loves to see these memories when he grows up because I certainly love coordinating and capturing them. My husband and son dressed alike with their denim, white t-shirts and blazers. Greyson’s outfit is thrifted, too! Check out how I scored baby clothes from thredUP.
These photos are glamorous for the New Year holiday, but the prices for the second hand clothes to create our looks were thrifty & free! Another great way to get nice clothes for free is to Host a Clothing Swap with your friends. Everyone will be able to cleanse their closet of things they no longer wear, and they’ll leave with like-new pieces for no cost at all! After the swap, get your thrift on with these tis to Thrift Like A Pro. Your closet and your wallet will love you ♥
