7 Black-Owned Secondhand Shops Online
Shopping secondhand online has never been easier. To continue to support Black-owned businesses, shop the curated finds of these Black-owned secondhand shops online.
Hey beautiful people, I’m back with more Black-owned businesses to share. Fast fashion is a hot mess. The systems in place to mass-produce clothes have caused so much damage to the world. This is why keeping clothes longer, selling and sharing your old clothes, and buying used clothes that are new to you are all very important to help curb the need for newly produced clothes that don’t last long. In the spirit of thrift fashion and decor, you can find curated selections at the following Black-owned secondhand shops online.

VIN TIJ by Marqui’
I’ve been keeping up with the work of VIN TIJ by Marqui’ since I met her after I moved to the DFW, Texas. The vintage finds that she curates are perfect for today’s popular styles. I love that her finds are also size inclusive, which isn’t always the case with other vintage shops and especially with fast fashion.

The Discount Diva Thriftique
I consider myself a Di$count Diva, as well, so I love this shop name so much. Owner and expert curator, Lynesha, stocks everyday vintage clothes and accessories, as well as high end vintage pieces.

Shop TrueLoStyle
Lo of TrueLoStyle and I “insta-met” while making a thrift style Don’t Rush challenge video. After creating the video with a group of amazing Black women thrifters, I saw that Lo also curates and sells clothes. Her personal style is bright, vibrant, and always so cute, and the same can be said about her online thrift shop. She sells a mix of vintage and modern clothes that are statement pieces and staple pieces.

Threads of Habit
I love finding a resell shop while scrolling Instagram – that’s how I happened upon Threads of Habit. Halima, the owner and curator, has been thrifting since the age of 9 and grew up visiting her Grandmother who owned a thrift shop, so she really knows how to select the best pieces that customers will love!

BLK MKT Vintage
The team at BLK MKT Vintage locates and sells collectible vintage artifacts of importance to the Black American history. They consider themselves cultural historians, and I’d have to agree. Their shop is filled with posters, buttons, books, and more that are a sign of the times and the state of Black culture in America across several decades. You can also shop their collaborative t-shirt line that “reimagines the narrative of historical events, artifacts, spaces, and communities” by sharing those stories on new graphic tees.

This is in no way and exhaustive list of the many amazing Black-owned secondhand shops online. Beyond that, I’m sure that there are some Black-owned brick and mortar thrift stores, as well as sellers at markets and consignment shops. Shout out your favorite Black-owned resell store, thrift store, secondhand shop, or Etsy/Poshmark/Ebay/Depop shop in the comments! And don’t forget to shop with them and support Black-owned businesses.

I live in Ct.My momther clollected Church hats for the last 50 years. She has around 50-75 hats. She is in her late 70’s and I have been put on the task to get rid of the hats. My dausghter and I would like to sell them to a black owned consignment shop. We fell you know the meaning of the hats. Some of the hats were worn one time others still have the tags on them and all have been stored in hat boxes. Can you please have someone that can guide me in the right direction to someone or some place that would be interested in the hats. We plan on taking picures of each hat so we can send a picture them to whomever is interested.
