Last year my husband and I completely revamped our dishware, utensils, and cookware. I wanted all-white everything for our dishes to make it simple, classic, and timeless. Non-stick and Non-Toxic Cookware
For the longest time, non-stick pans were associated with infomercials and the quietly growing whispers of the fact that they were toxic. I recall seeing an image or video a few years back that showed how the off gassing of non-stick pans killed birds or something like that. That effect very well may have been exaggerated, but it absolutely caught my attention! Non-stick meant toxic, as far as I was concerned. It was the first of many signs that I needed to look for non-toxic cookware. Over the years, I hadn’t seen many new brands filling the need for both non-stick and non-toxic cookware pots and pans. To now have pots, pans, cookie sheets, and more feels safe and amazing.

Slowing Down
Caraway instructions encourage you to avoid cooking on high temperatures. I am an impatient cooker, and my husband is a flat out slow and low cooker. He can often be seen turning down the stove after I turn it on. I admit that cooking in my old, thin pots and pan on high heat, very impatiently, I’d often overcook items and they’d be cooked unevenly. Slowing down to cook items on medium heat in a ceramic pan that cooks them more evenly has not been easy, but it has been so helpful.
Truly Non-stick Cookware – It’s So Easy to Clean!
With the surfaces being inherently non-stick, the cookware and bakeware are super easy to clean. The burnt cheese from oven-baked pizza slides right off. Don’t judge, I know I’m not the only one who leaves the pizza in the oven just a little too long haha! And I sound like the opposite of a happy homemaker with my need to cook fast on high heat just so it’ll be over, and hating to wash dishes. It is what it is. But using Caraway it has made both of those easier for me.
Overall Thoughts on Caraway Non-Toxic Cookware
I’ve never owned cookware that is this good. It is as simple as that. Each piece is well-worth the investment. Even heating all around, non-toxic, non-stick, easy to clean. And the color availability doesn’t hurt either – my marigold pots, pans, and bakeware bring me so much joy! The color is so cheerful. The cookware has been in our kitchen for almost a year now, and our bakeware is new. We are hoping to use them all for many years to come! I’ll definitely keep y’all updated on that.

Hey Addie I’m curious what benefits you see in Caraway over traditional cast iron pots and pans. I’m a huge fan of getting away from the toxic non-stick. It’s things like that where we don’t discover their terrible effects until decades after we proclaim that they are “safe.”

Hey David! It is so true that we don’t know how these items truly impact us until years down the line. It’s one big scientific experiment based on a hypothesis that these materials are better. I like Caraway, personally, because they slow me down LOL. I always try to cook things super quickly on high heat. These work better with medium heat (per the instructions and per experience of me not following the instructions lol). That’s less food burnt and wasted. As for the material, starting with the knowledge that I absolutely can’t use metal utensils helps void scratching. In cast iron and cheap pans, I would scramble eggs with a fork. I CANNOT do that with these. That automatically helps me to preserve them better. I have a cast iron stovetop type of grill that’s flat on one side and like a grill on the other. I use both sides. Even that cast iron still sticks and is more difficult to clean. It doesn’t heat evenly but that’s because I have to use it over 2 eyes of the stove, so there’s and empty part in between that isn’t receiving direct heat. The Caraway heats more evenly even when the pan is larger than the eye of the stove (I have an electric coil stovetop). And them being pretty helps a lot! Ultimately, though, both cast iron and ceramic are a lot safer than chemical coated cookware and bakeware. Aside from these materials, most pots and pans don’t even tell you what they use to create them, and if they do, they don’t include info about heat points at which they potentially become dangerous. I’m like you, I use metal on my cast irons all the time and I’m sure it’s not the best for them. I even just use steel wool to clean them. Sounds like the Caraway requires a bit more love, but gives better results. Thanks for that takeaway!
