A popular style that has come back on the scene in the past few years and stayed around is mixing different denim tones together. Chambray is like a linen version of denim – very light and breathable instead of heavy and locking in heat. I purchased these thin, dark denim shorts at a thrift store last year and recently acquired the Gap chambray top at a thrift swap that I hosted for my friends. While trying to find an outfit that fit (I don’t look like it in many pictures, but I’m 5 months pregnant here), I accidentally happened upon this cute combo. I’m so glad that everything I tried on before didn’t fit! #PregnancyProblems. The versatility of the long sleeve chambray top make it great for fall, winter and spring outfits. I just rolled the sleeves up to help keep cool on this high 60s spring day. Denim is neutral, so it pairs well with just about any color. I love pieces that mix black and brown (especially since so many people don’t think they work together in one outfit), so I paired the outfit with more neutrals of black and brown tones. This outfit was comfy, easy, and perfect for an early brunch and strolling Uptown Dallas with one of my friend girls! Scroll for outfit details and photos.
