An indoor waterpark sounds like a blast on it’s own, but once you discover all that the Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark has to offer, you’ll understand why it’s so GRAND!
We were greeted at the door with a, “Welcome to Summer!” It’s always warm at 85 degrees inside the Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, and it feels AMAZING! The warmth felt especially inviting on the drizzly and freezing day that my family visited. I honestly wish we could have stayed all day, but toddlers don’t work like that haha! For the hours that we were there, we lived it up, and we also learned ways we can make the most of our experience when we visit again. Here are 7 things you can do at Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, too!
1. Float the Lazy Rio Grand
It’s the LONGEST indoor lazy river in an indoor waterpark in Texas! Catch a ride on an inner tube, or float along on your own.
2. Splash under the 300 Gallon Tipping Bucket
Rascal’s Roundup, the children’s area of Epic Waters, is fully decked out! There are kid sized slides, water splashing everywhere, stairs and nets to climb, and more. The big event that happens ever so often throughout the day is the tipping of the 300 gallon bucket. When it is almost full, a mini watermill style wheel spins and rings a bell. When it is completely full, it tips and the water splashes nearly everything in the Rascal’s Roundup area!
3. Race down Water Slides
The water slides travel in and out of the building – some are solo rides, while others let you partner up for the ride. My absolute favorite was the yellow jacket. It takes you through a tunnel on an inner tube and then ejects you up a curved wall, ending in a splash pool. It was SO much fun!
4. Arcade Games
If you want to take a break from the waterpark, step inside and play arcade games. Rack up points to cash out with different prizes, or win some prizes instantly with the different claw machines.
5. The Swimming Hole
Have a game of pickup in the water or just chill on the calmer side of the waterpark when you hang out in the swimming hole.
6. Celebrate with a Birthday Party
Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark has several birthday party spaces that are on a separate floor than the main waterpark and it’s sitting areas. You can host your party away from the crowd, but have fun amongst the crowd when you’re ready to make a splash!
7. Visit The Epic & The Grand Lawn
Epic Waters is part of “Epic Central,” which is also home to The Epic (for families), The Grand Lawn, The Summit (for citizens aged 50+), and PlayGrand Adventures (a playground for people of all abilities, coming soon). The Epic and The Lawn are right beside Epic Waters. At the Epic, you can rent books from a library vending machine, learn and use the culinary kitchen, exercise with over $1 million worth of equipment, take group exercise classes, use a recording studio, see art from the Artist-In-Residence in the art studio, and so much more.
