I had the amazing blessing of winning a trip to New York Fashion Week, sponsored by Project Runway and Verizon, so I made sure to go all out and make the Old World New fashion statement seen by any eyes that would graze over me in my 15 seconds of NYFW exposure. You all know this means I wore something vintage/thrifted! This piece is one of my unique “must have at first sight” finds, even though I had no idea how I would eventually style it. It has been in my closet for over a year. NYFW was the perfect time to showcase it’s beauty.
I believe it is a 1980’s off the shoulder peplum top. Fortunately, it doesn’t scream 80’s! I paired it with jeans I distressed (as seen in this $20 thrift challenge), a Rocksbox necklace and a comfy pair of black wing-tip styled shoes. I made the mistake of wearing heels the previous day, and my feet are still cross with me because of it. The icing on the cake of this outfit is the purse, gifted by Lifetime. I just love it – a classic, large black purse is something every lady needs. Overall, I really enjoyed bringing this piece into the 2010s. I think it turned out lovely!
Josh looked dashing, as well, in his blue & white polka dot top, gray dressy denim and brown accessories.
And cheers to Zac Posen for agreeing to take this photo with me. Don’t I look like I fit in? Haha!
