An eco-sista who says patience is a big factor.
How long have you been eco-friendly? I have consciously been eco-friendly for about 5 years now. I feel like being raised frugally and in a down-home type of household automatically made me think about where I invested my money as far as consumerism and mass production is concerned. It also made me value home grown food more than fast food. I grew up eating whole foods while supporting local farmers in “country” towns. I picked and shelled peas from my Papa’s farm, we purchased greens from our neighbor who had grown them out on his farm, and we always bought watermelons from the guys that had come from a few towns over and set up their stands every week day. I absolutely loved that lifestyle, and I love when I’m able to support local farmers here in the DFW metroplex too. Read more…
