Stay-Inn-Style Bed & Breakfast – Fayetteville, AR

Stay-Inn-Style - travel destination Fayetteville, ArkansasI recently visited my home town of Fayetteville, AR and had the best time staying as a guest and exploring like a tourist, but with knowledge of the best secret places to visit. While there, I stayed at the Stay-Inn-Style Bed & Breakfast, a family owned inn with 8 uniquely styled guest rooms and lush green grounds with a hidden waterfall feature. Sharon and Bill, the innkeepers, opened Stay-Inn-Style back in 2001, and have been going strong ever since. It is located at 117 W. Rock St., which is a great location – one street over from the Fayetteville Town Square, and less than a mile away from the University of Arkansas Campus. It is one of only 3 bed and breakfasts in the city.

Front Porch

The entry to the Stay-Inn-Style BnB reads “Southern Charm” with its deep and long porch filled with rockers, swings, and Razorback paraphernalia.

Interior

I was a guest of the Sun Room, which gets its name from the many windows that wrap around two sides of the room. They are covered by semi-fixed moveable louvre plantation style shutters. There is even a window full of charming decor above the jacuzzi tub. Sharon, 1/2 of the innkeeper duo, regularly shops at antique stores and auctions, and her decor reminds me of my Grannies’ styles. I just love that! The purple and green floral theme of the Sun Room really help to bring the outside in.

Property Grounds

One word: enchanting.

Breakfast

Wake up and grab a cup of coffee or tea. Follow it up with an appetizer of bananas with caramel sauce and pecans. Next, have a cup of orange juice to accompany a cheesy egg omelet, bacon, and bagel toast. Breakfast was simple, southern, and scrumptious – a great way to fuel the beginning of my day!

Overall, I really enjoyed my short stay at the Stay-Inn-Style Bed & Breakfast. I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed the porch, breakfast, Sun Room and waterfall feature just a little more. I’ll be visiting them and staying in style again, whenever I head back home!

xoxo, dolls & dudes!

I LOVE fayetteville- it’s so pretty, so I’m not surprised that you found a cute little B&B. Did you get a chance to go to the original riffraff store? It’s my fave. Hope you had a wonderful time 🙂

It’s my favorite city, Elle! I finally did get to go in – I never went before because it was like competition for my favorite boutique in town that I had been visiting since I was a teenager lol. Thank you, I really did enjoy it! ☺️

This place is beautiful! What gave you the idea to stay in your hometown as a tourist? That is such a neat way to re-appreciate where you grew up. I love this idea!

Discarding the top of strawberries has been the norm my entire life. But why?

Eating the tops of strawberries is one tiny sustainable change that didn’t take a lot of effort.

What’s one small eco-conscious change you’ve implemented that made you say “Why didn’t I think of this before?!” 💡✨
