I recently visited my favorite Thrift Giant store for their random $2 clothing sale. I found 4 pieces for me and 4 pieces for Greyson. I also purchased a blanket for my hairless dog who chews up blankets. I didn’t go early like I usually do, I actually had no intention of going at all, but I’m so glad that I did. I’m finally starting to grow, seeing as I’ve been the same size since middle school. About time, right? As Greyson is approaching 2 years old, and I’m approaching 30, my body is doing a new thing. It is saying “no more BS, Addie.” Everything hurts and creaks, you can tell when I don’t get enough sleep. It’s something about 30, y’all. Guess I really need to stick to my skin care routine so that my skin can get that youthful glow back! Anywho, back to the clothes.

Thrift shopping and buying secondhand clothes is another way to be sustainable. It helps keep items from going to the landfill when they still have a long life ahead of them. The fashion industry creates one of the largest amounts of waste at every step in the field – from production and cheap fast fashion clothes, to throwing clothes away before they’re no longer useful or burning clothes like Burberry does. Keep it green and thrift to find some new to you fashion!
