If you’re anything like me this summer, you’ve been on the go, non-stop.  Weekend trips here, girls weekends there, brunch a little bit of everywhere!  It’s easiest to pack up my Blue Avocado (eco) hip pod, throw in my Threads for Thought dress that can be casual or chic – keeping my entire bag “green” – and go!  But what about my toiletries?

While I’m at home, I have my stockpile of sustainable, ethical and plant-based toiletries.  I smell like I walked through a garden and just smushed roses all over my skin by the time I get out of the shower.  I’m talking real rose plant extract in my body wash, lotion, and rose water to help tame my hair.  It gets real botanical over here y’all.  As much as I love my big rose bottles and other products, they’re just a tad too big for a quick weekend trip.

So what does Whole Foods go and do?  They save the day with another one of their limited edition trial size kits.  This time, a travel size, airplane friendly, green colored recycled Chico Bag with 6 sample sized goodies.  I’ve already used my kit, and for the products that are new to me (Acure shampoo & conditioner and Juice Beauty Nutrient Moisturizer), I really loved them.  Its hard for me to say I love a shampoo, and rarely is a sample size enough to wrestle with my curls, but I’ll be able to use the Acure shampoo and conditioner sample 3 times before it runs out (at which point I will quickly escort myself back to Whole Foods to purchase the real deal)!  My curls will also be poppin’ afterwards.  I swear by black soap, as I used to suffer from extremely bad acne, and it was only my black soap and shea butter regimen that cleared it up.  I use the unscented Alaffia Authentic African Black Soap as a daily face wash, as well as a shampoo and body wash sometimes.  The Tangerine Citrus scented sample is really invigorating when I use it to cleanse my face.  Last, but not least, the Mineral Fusion nail polish is always a good idea – I’ve given away their polish before!  Overall, I love this kit and the bag that it comes in.  Oh, and did I mention the coupons?  Take that, expensive organic prices!  Whole Foods always wins with their limited edition Whole Body kits.
