80s Striped Dress + Woven Tote

I purchased this dress for $0.25, y’all! 25¢ Thrift in Fort Worth, Texas reserves Fridays for the only day where items actually only cost 25¢, but it was so worth it to make the trek out there and find amazing pieces like this. You can find some of those awesome pieces listed for sale in my Poshmark closet! The woven tote is an ethically made piece from Ten Thousand Villages, and that’s a post you should definitely read. I love mixing and matching all of these unique finds.
Yellow Patterned Shorts + White Tee

I don’t remember exactly, but I think I found these shorts at Thrift Giant. They’re my go-to place, and I find a lot of summer shorts there. The top is a GAP shirt from thredUP. It was a comfortable and cute outfit for a long day of exploring Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art #SummeratCrystalBridges series.
Sheer Silk Dress + Hemp Tennis Shoes

The silk dress is one that I found several years ago. It is breathable and lightweight, and perfect for a spring or summer day. Once upon a time I was able to wear cutesy lace racerback bras and high waist (well-covered) undies beneath. This time, I crafted a tube dress out of a mini dress to place beneath it. I wore some comfy tennis shoes with it since we were walking a lot that day. The shoes are made with hemp by Bohmepia.
prAna Fair Trade Outfit

I featured this fair trade outfit on Instagram, and styled it a little differently with my hair down and letting the tunic act as a dress with the shorts underneath this time.

So cute! The clothes are adorable, too. 😉 I love the hemp tennis. It’s so neat that thrifting is becoming a green thing; it used to have such a stigma attached to it. Thrift stores, especially for clothes, are our bread and butter. There are so many kids in my house and no reason to purchase something full price when I don’t need to. Besides, I’d rather support a local thrift store than a faceless department store!

Gah these are so cute!! I pretty much exclusively shop at thrift stores but I’m not very fashion inclined. Your style is so cheery and it looks so comfy! You’ve definitely given me some inspiration for my next thrifting treasure hunt!
