Neutral tones are part of the evolving Spring 2015 trend scene, so I had to try my hand at finding beautiful, fashionable neutral pieces at a thrift store – and on a dead line. Β I went shopping for my Easter dress on the Thursday before the holiday with only two requirements in mind: Β it had to be a white/beige neutral color, and it had to have a flowing effect. Β I preferred a dress, but would have taken anything (shirt or skirt) that fit that description. Β Luckily for me, I’ve been having nothing but great thrifting experiences lately. Β I found exactly what I wanted, and got it for half the thrift store price during a sale they were having! Β I even found shoes and a purse to complete the outfit along with this Target hat that was the inspirationΒ for my entire look. Β I’m serving Granny/Aunti realness, you should’ve seen me in church on Easter Sunday. Β I thought I was too cute with it.
Plants: see this post
Hat: Target does it again!
Dress: Malloy (new with tags) – $12.91 at the thrift store, I got it half off! $6.50
Purse: Thrifted – $3.98 original, I paidΒ half $2
Shoes: Thrifted & new – $15 original, I paidΒ half $7.50
Pineapple makeup bags: $2 & $1, therefore $1 & $0.50. Β Half off baby!
Neutrals win. Β That is all. Β I hope you all had an awesome Easter π
What spring trend are you loving so far? Β Check out how I thrift to see how you can find awesome clothes from thrift stores, too.
xoxo dolls & dudes,
You look beautiful in this dress! I love the high low style but it just doesn’t love me back! I love neutral looks yet somehow I always end up in darker neutrals like blacks and grays!
Thank you so much, Madaline! This is my first time trying the hi-low in a dress. It wasn’t successful in a skirt I purchased, but I do have a shirt in this style that I love. Keep trying! π Gray is my favorite winter color!
That neutral dress is beautiful and looks awesome against your skin tone. I have cool undertones so light colored neutrals wash me completely out and I can’t wear cream or beige at all. I look like I’m dead! π
That hat is awesome, too! You always find the best deals!
Thank you, Alli! ahhh, maybe some pastels would work in that case?
I can’t believe you knocked it out of the park like this on a tight deadline! Headed over to your How To Thrift post for some tips. π
Thank you, sometimes I fear I’m cutting it to close, but I had a good feeling it would work this time, and it did! I have like a gut intuition when it comes to thrifting lol. I hope those tips come in handy for you!
Love a neutral palette! And it looks great on you.
Thank you, Ginger! π
Those pieces are looking great on you. For spring I tend to lean more toward florals and stripes.
Thank you, Megan. I need to get some florals in my life, I’ll try to thrift some π

The booties came in handy in the rain that day. Thank you, Miranda! π
