Thrifted Printed Skirt and Textured Top
If I were to choose clothes to wear to a semi-formal holiday gathering, it’d go a little something like this.
I’m obsessed with black these days. As an architecture & interior design student in my undergrad studies, I said I’d never fall into the “all-black” snares of being a designer. I lied. It just looks good.
I call this accessory combo the Big Bling Theory, c/o Tainted Rose. Nail polish via Julep Maven.
Target outdid themselves with these Mossimo peep-toe booties.
The neutral black and gold of the jewelry and shoes allowed me to get crazy with a statement skirt. This skirt was “handed down” by a roomie in Italy (thanks, Hanna!). The bold patterns and coral and gold colors make it so festive! I live for a high waist and a crop top combo. It is so “me.” *Twirls*
Cropped sweater by 525 America via Neiman Marcus Last Call. I purchased it on a blogger outing to Grapevine Mills Mall, and let’s give a round of applause for all of the savings that aligned themselves to let me get this soft, cropped wonder of a top *claps, and claps again.* Originally $89, I paid $30. It’s so soft and warm, y’all.

My photographer for this wonderful shoot, Pier Nguyen Photography, and I share the same hometown (y’all know I claim like 3 hometowns, I’m referring to Nashville now). We remembered an old abandoned Ice House, so we went to see if it was of good background quality. It felt like we were kids exploring the great big world all over again. If that ain’t the spirit of Christmas & the holidays, I don’t know what is!

Everything featured here is AMAZING (including the photography!) I love the open toed shoes with coordinating toe polish. The print of the skirt matches to the ring and necklace perfectly! And I can’t say enough how beautiful the pictures turned out with the Ice house as a background, so chic.

This outfit is adorable! My favorite part is the skirt. I’ve come in and out of the “all-black” look several times. Right now, it seems that black is popular again, so it’s hard to avoid it now, even if you wanted to.
