Valentine’s Day is less than 48 hours away. Are you feeling that last minute surge of “oh my gosh” running through your veins now? I am! Do you need a treat to whip up for the Big Heart Day, but don’t want to go crazy with it? How about using this Quakers Oats quick No Bake Cookies recipe? It is so simple and soooo easy, and adding your own touch to it at the end will let you give flare to an easy task.
Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
8 tablespoons/1 stick margarine or butter
1/2 cup Low-Fat/ 1% Milk
1/3 cup baking cocoa
3 cups Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
Decorations of choice, i.e. sprinkles, red chocolate chips, chocolate hearts
Directions
Combine the sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in a large pot or pan and let it cook over the heat.
Watch it constantly, and stir frequently. These ingredients only need to cook for 3 minutes.
After those 3 minutes, remove the pot from the heat and add your oats. I used old fashioned oats, so I let the final mixture sit for 5 minutes after adding the oats (not required when using quick oats).
Use a tablespoon to scoop and drop mixture onto wax paper.
Quick and easy! I used half of the ingredients in the recipe and it yielded 10 cookies, so expect approximately 20 cookies when using the full recipe. Enjoy, and get it all together in time for Valentine’s Day!
Until next time, Ci Vediamo!!!
