My favorite thrift find is always a vintage high waist midi skirt. The styling possibilities are endless with them!
High waist midi skirts are great during any season of the year and in any setting you may find yourself in. If its cold outside, pair it with a fitted sweater and tights. If its hot outside, style it like this. For this look, I wore a $4 Liz Claiborne dark rust-colored high waist skirt, Simply Vera Wang heels that were a thrifted gift I received a few years ago, a decorative vintage crocheted collar ($18), and a white Forever 21 crop top ($8). The necklace is thrifted, as well, from Texas Thrift in Hurst for $3. A crop top instantly transforms the high waist skirt style from a 1950’s Librarian to a 2015 Street Chic Fashionista. It exposes minimal skin to create the “sexy” look, so I love it for that, too. Keepin’ it classy.
This outfit took time to curate – I didn’t get everything at once. It was worth it, though, especially since I only spent $30 over the years to create it. I could go on for days talking about how I style my thrifted skirts… (like this unique top and mustard midi).
